My new EP was released this week. It has 5 tracks; 2 studio, 2 live and the song I recently recorded on wax cylinder. It’s just £4 plus p&p, or you can download it (the whole thing or individual tracks) in a variety of formats.
On Saturday 22nd November I’ll be at Muzik and More’s Ukulele Day, at The Green Man Gallery, Hardwick Hall, Buxton SK17 6PY. The day (11am to 4pm) is free, but you’ll need a ticket if you want to come to my beginners uke wokshop (only £6!). More info from www.muzikandmore.co.uk
My new CD “Old Is The New New” will be out on December 1st, and you can order it now. It’s a 5 track EP that includes the song I recorded on wax cylinder recently, two live recordings and two studio recordings.
On Sunday 9th November, Omega music have arranged for a steam train to run from Pickering to Whitby and back, full of happy ukulele players and singing and strumming! When they get back, there’s a concert in Pickering featuring me, The Anything Goes Orchestra, Ooty and the Cloud and Zahra Lowzley.
Today I visited Duncan Miller at the Vulcan Cylinder Record Company (www.phonographcylinders.com) to record a song on wax cylinder. It was a fun afternoon, and educational too! It was also great to be able to listen to some of Duncan’s huge collection of phonograph cylinders.
What a fantastic night. Seeing Del and Adam play up close in the intimate atmosphere of the Trades Club was wonderful, and being asked to play the support for them was more than a bit special for this big Del Rey fan! Thanks to Mary at GNUF for making it happen.
On Saturday 25th October I’ll be in Norwich for the Uke East festival (www.uke-east.co.uk), where I’ll be running a fingerpicking workshop (sold out I’m afraid!) and performing along with Sophie Madeleine, The Toots, Artemiss, Liam Capper-Starr, Norwich Ukulele Society and Ben Rouse.
All profits will go to the Musical Keys charity, tickets are £16.
